Scouts in CRAI Remember
10/11/2019 By Gareth Tanswell

Scouts from across CRAI District have attended their local rememberance services to mark the 100th Rememberance Sunday, and last weekend some Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from 1st Ystrad Mynach raised funds at their local Tesco store for the Royal British Legion.
Our District Commissioner (DC), Symon Dunstan said "Thank you to all who turned out to represent your groups and The Scout Association at Remembrance parades today. I've seen so many fantastic photos and videos of your Young People..Well done you've done us and yourselves proud"
And Group Scout Leader (GSL) of 1st Caerphilly Scout Group, Sandra Davies said "As a GSL I am often bogged down with administration of the group and it's easy to lose sight of why I got involved in Scouting. Today I had a reminder. As a GSL I am increadibly proud of all my leaders and young people. Because of my leaders we had 54 young people take part in the Remembrance Service in Caerphilly. The young people walked and behaved beautifully and showed real respect. I would like to thank the Leaders of 1st Caerphilly for all their hard work in preparing the children for todays service. I am a very proud GSL"

Pictured are Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and adult volunteers from 5th Risca, 1st Senghenydd and 1st Ystrad Mynach, however we have also heard amazing stories from other groups throughout the district who have played a part in their local commemorations.
