CRAI Hawks can now train Tomahawk Instructors!
24/02/2019 By Rob Redmond

We've been working with 1st Rayleigh Scout Group Target Team over the past year to establish CRAI Scout Activity Park as a training centre for Tomahawk Throwing Instructors within Scouting.

The final assessment was successfully completed yesterday with the park fully recognised as a training centre.

With the lack of any National Governing Body for Hawk Throwing the 1st Rayleigh Team are recognised as amongst the most experienced in the Country and have been instrumental in creating the rules and guidelines contained within POR to allow Hawk Throwing to be run as a safe activity within Scouting.

The team from 1st Rayleigh regularly run training sessions at events such as Gilwell Reunion (they will be back there this year!) using the same training course and techniques as will now be delivered by the CRAI Hawks.

If you are interested in attending a Course – or having a dedicated Course run for your Group or District – contact the Activity Centre on to get a date agreed.
